VEGETABLE SAMOSA

Ingredients for samosa filling
- Potatoes - 6 (boiled & mashed)
- Peas - 1/2 cup (boiled)
- Garlic - 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala - 1 tsp
- Jeera seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Green Chilli paste - 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
Method :
- In a pan, heat 1 tsp oil
- Add cumin / Jeera seeds, When they sizzle
- Mix well
Ingredients for samosa wrap
- Maida flour - 1 cup
- Corn flour OR Rice flour - 1/2 cup
- Ghee - 2 tsp (Prefered Dalda ghee)
- Salt to taste
- Water to knead
Method : Mix all and knead the soft dough (Just like chapati). Make small balls and keep aside
METHOD
- Roll into sized balls and make into straight shape using a roller
- Make a rectangular strip by cutting the edges on the 4 sides
- Take a small portion of the curry (as per the size of samosa)
- Place the small portion of curry on one side of the rectangular strip
- Fold the strip as to cover the whole portion of curry
- Fold it again on the side so it takes the shape of a triangle
- Deep fry until it becomes crisp
Serve hot with ketchup or green chilli chutney
