Black Bean Burger

My latest favorite food - Bean burger. I am hooked on to this so much nowadays that at any burger joint I am only looking for bean burger. Its healthy, tasty and also a burger ;). I tried and adapted this from one of my favorite cook books.



Prep Time : 25 Mins
Makes : 8 

Ingredients
  • Black Beans - 1 cup
  • Capsicum / Green bell pepper - 1/4, chopped
  • Onions - 1/4, chopped
  • Corn flour - 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Bread crumbs 
  • Olive oil - 2 tbsp
  •  
    Method
  1. Soak the black water for about 4 hrs. Drain and cook the beans with enough water using pressure cooker. Remove and drained the water and mash the beans inthe masher
  2. Finely chopped peppers, onions
  3. Take a pan / skillet add oli then add onions and peppers stir fry
  4. Add into beans then add corn flour , salt mix well and shape bean mixture into patties 
  5. Roll into bread crumbs
  6. Heat large skillet sprinkle oil all over the skillet. Add patties and cook until lightly brown 
  7. Arrange lettuce on buns, top with burgers then onion slices, tomato slices 
  8. Serve along with fries

  7. That looks lovely and very clean and healthy. Where the aioli? I cant have bean burgers without a salty.tangy sauce!
