This is tried the recipe by Mrs. Mallika Badrinath. Came out nice and suits for chapatis / roti's. Quite easy recipe I liked it.

Cooking Time : 10 mins
Serves : 2 People
Ingredients
- Potatoes -3
- Onions - 1
- Garlic - 2-3 flakes
- Tomatoes - 2
- Green chillies / - 2 (medium hot)
- Cinnamon - 1 piece
- Cloves - 2
- Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Coconut - 1/4 cup
- Poppy seeds - 1 tsp
- Ginger - 1/4 inch piece
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Cut the onions and chillies into long think peices
- Wash and peel the potatoes and boiled then mash coarsely
- Heat oil in a kadai / pan add cinnamon, cloves and then chillies, garlic and then onion
- Fry till golden color. Add chopped tomatoes and stir until moisture gets absorbed
- Mix mashed potatoes, fry for a minute then add chilli powder, coriander powder, salt , and little water
- Boil together minute or two. Add ground masala
- Boil well till gravy thickens
- Serve hot with chapathis
