Kadai Paneer



Ingredients
  • Paneer / Cottage Cheese -  200 grms - Cubes 
  • Onion, cubes - 1/4 cup
  • Tomatoes - cubes - 1/4 cup
  • Capsicum / Bell peppers, cubes - 1/4 cup
  • Jeera seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Black Peppercorns - 4 crushed
  • Red chillies - 1 or 2
  • Tomato Puree - 1/2 cup
  • Ginger + Garlic finely chopped - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin / Jeera powder - 1 tsp
  • Chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander / Dania powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - A pinch
  • Garam Masala powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Karuri methi - 1/2 tsp crushed
  • Oil - 2 tbsp + 1tsp Ghee
Method
     
    1. Cut paneer in to medium size cubes
    2. Heat the oil and ghee in a kadai/pan
    3. Heat oil in a pan, Add jeera seeds, peppercorns and red chillies
    4. Fry onions, Capsicum pieces on a low flame
    5. Add tomato puree and ginger garlic paste
    6. Add all the dry powders
    7. Add salt Stir well close and cook for few mins on simmer flame 
    8. Add tomatoes and paneer mix well
    9. Add Kasuri methi and coriander leaves
    10. Close the lid and cook for few mins

    Serve with Naan, Roti, Chapathi
